Manual Transmission Used Vehicles

Manual Transmission Vehicles

Manual Transmission is the mechanical term defined as a process of hand lever gear shifting from the neutral state to a higher or lower level for increasing the variable acceleration of the vehicle. It provides the manually operated drive system to help in the back and forth movement of the car by the switching of gears. Normally, there is a standard level of the 4-speed manual transmission with a reversible gear. In the present era cars, there are also some of the advanced features available such as 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual gear transmission. In a manual transmission procedure, there is always a strong mutual connection between a clutch pedal disc and a movable gear stick.

Generally, there are four to six forward shifting gears with a single reverse gear in a manually powered transmission. The throttling sound shows a clear indication sign for the driver to have to change the hand shift gear according to the random requirement of a vehicle. There can be different hand powered gear transmission controls in different cars.

In a manual transmission, there are several kinds of gear shifters available such as floor mounted shifter, column mounted shifter, and a console mounted shifter. The difference between all three shifting gears is that the floor mounted gear is attached to the floor position next to the first front seat for easy gear movement. On the other hand, the column gear is mounted with the driving steering providing an upward and downward movement.

The manual transmission provides plenty of benefits such as increased fuel efficiency, easy push starting, long-term durability, with a reliable performance and an easy flexible driving control. The manual drive cars have a cheaper cost with much better resale value.
